Tips For Getting Fibreglass Super Tight?

A laminator recently told me that the glass “floats up” in the resin and he pushes it down quite hard to get his laminations tight and light. I can’t seem to get mine dry enough and still get full coverage. I know the answer is practice.  I’ll get there eventually.
