to Prijk: Metabo Sx E 400?

Hi Peter, I found in the archives you recently bought a Metabo Sx E 400. How does the machine turn out to be? Do you like it, does is work well? Can you do all the sanding with it (offcourse some exceptions) and other operations? What are extra plates you use on them and where did you get them? I was interested in the machine already for more housely needs. Thanks! Martijn

The Metabo works just fine, I only use the small original sanding pad at the moment cause I’m really busy with ding repairs lately. I tryed some bigger pads on it and they worked fine to, I only had to customize the brake ring for using bigger pads. The pads are from other bigger types of orbital sanders any hardware store wil have these. What I like on the Metabo is the electronic orbital speed setting, very good for polishing and sanding. I think it’s a good invenstment. Peter Rijk.

whats the price? and the minimum RPM How was hossegor, it was almost flat > on the webcams I think Martijn has some good info on the metabo for you, the price at the local hardware store was 65 euro with 5 x 25 different sanding sheets and two polishing pads, to good a deal to let go. Very pleased like I said. Hossegor was bad this time, not what you could/would expect in this time of year. I could surf every day but nothing more then 4 ft, my fish saved the trip once again, amazing board. Magic man’s da man. Peter Rijk.

Because of the pad diameter (and a small scratch) nobody was interested in it they told me. I was but not for the normal price, then they came up with this deal. Peter Rijk.
