Tom Blake from Popular Mechanics Magazine 1937 for anyone who likes wooden boards

A friend sent me this, thought I would pass it on for any one interested:

stumbled across this on the net:
http://books.google.com/books?id=3toDAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=popular+mechanics+J#PPA114,M2

that should go to right page, if not p114.

Thanks for the link.

I’ve seen that article referenced many times, but this is the first chance I’ve had to see it.

Do you know if reprints are available? I’ve gotten a few things from woodworking magazines that way.

Woody,

Is ths printable or saveable in any format or can it only be read on screen?

Bob

The only way I can think of doing that would be to set it for a single page on full screen, adust the zoom so the whole page fits on screen, then do a screen capture with the screen print buttion, copy and pastes that into somthing like photoshop, crop it and resize it to A4 then save it as a JPEG.

you’d need to do that for each page though.

OK, I tried to attach a PDF version of this article… but I was getting a file size limitation error… appears to be a 100K limitation. I had previsouly PDF’d this article from my personel copy of this Popular Mechanics, so if you all want a PDF version you can go to my site http://www.cyclonesurfboards.com follow the link to 1940’s Tom Blake Paddleboard and hit the magazine cover. you should be able to save a copy from there. or PM me and I can email you a copy. Take Care, Mike

Woody,

Thanks . I received a pm with similar advice which worked fine. Thanks for posting this.
