Tom @ Daum,Red-X ..............

…Tom, Thankyou very much for all your help thus far with your fin system.I’ve installed quite a few sets now and love the performance of your fins. I never did buy a plunge router or Red-X JIG,I just use my re-calibrated Ofishl jig, some plexiglass wedges, two routers,a Sears trigger job w/ a 6" base plate and a 1/4" shank that carries a 3/4" x 3/4" bit. This cuts the long hole, then I use a porter/cable router w/ a 5-3/4" baseplate and uses a straight shaft 1/2"w x 3" long bit. This one cuts the short thru hole.Nice thing about this set-up other than $$$ savings is there’s no re-dailing the bit depth. It cuts a perfect two stage hole for my/your boxes.Wonder what Mel would say.I’ll say this his jig was made to be versatile. I’ll come by this week if your in and show you it w/ examples.Herb
