sounds like quite the glide machine. now you just gotta get it wet and come back with a ride report. and most importantly, figure out what you want to do differently on #002!
i’ve been riding it the past few days, sometimes twice a day
It turns off the tail really nicely, and that’s saying something because i’m not much of a longboarder (primarily a shortboarder / fisher)
I can walk it well, haven’t really gotten a nice noseride yet but came close. (that’s more my problem than the boards problem)
It catches everything well! Except I have had to pull it out from pearling several times on steep takeoffs due to it’s minimal amount of rocker.
I love it! Works great, I can ride it as well as any other longboard i’ve ever ridden.
And the first time out is just so amazing, smiles for the whole session and the thought of “oh my god, i can’t believe it actually floats, catches waves, and works!!! WOW”
Just bought two more blanks this afternoon at mitches. One of those beater safari shortboard blanks for $10 and a Fish Safari blank (supposedly a better batch) for 40

THAT is what makes me keep coming back to shape my own boards…Best feeling ever…well, ALMOST
