The main event is Saturday at Lydgate (any donations you can just bring them there), sure hope to see you there and/or other times. I’m also trying to arrange a post-surf cookout on Friday evening - you’re welcome to join in, as is anyone. Other than that the “events” are going to be impromptu surf safaris and hookups w/ the local shapers & glassers - but they aren’t exactly planned out. I have phone numbers for a few folks but if you want to PM or post contact info that would be great. Or pick a spot & time, I guarantee some Swaylockers will show up.
Surf’s UP! We’re stoked. I know Tuna and a buddy are coming Wed, I’m coming Thursday, Gregg Hunt is coming early too.
I don’t know if anyone has thanked you Keith, but let me be the first on line here to say thanks for helping out the people in need who you have never even met. You’re a Bro!
Have a great trip to the tropics. I know it will be a reciprocal journey.
thanks EPAC. I’m more than happy to try to help whatever small way I can, but all of you folks who bought raffle tickets or donated prizes are the real source… I mean if surfers can’t help ocean victims, who ought to? Plus we get to do it in a Swaylock’s way…
By the way Friday night cookout is at Lydgate Park, east side. Evening-post-surf-chow-time!!
Howzit Keith, I just got an e-mail from Ambrose about the change to Friday for cook out and I guess everyone will be on the north side Sat. Will the raffle be Fri or Sat? You will arrive tomorrow and I'll see you then. Aloha,Kokua
Er, Kokua , it’s not a change, the main deal and raffle is still Saturday.
Friday is just a low key cookout for anybody that can make it. Ambrose and Hobcawannie said they’ll be heading over to Lydgate park about 4:30pm. Sorry for any confusion!
I AM SO JEALOUS!!! I wanted to go soooooooooooo badly, but my schedule just wouldn’t allow. Oh well, on the bright side…I get to go to Tennessee next month. Yeeeeeee!!Haaaaaaah!!!
P.S. Will there be another Swaylocks get together here in California this year?
hey lets say that someone who entered the raffle and is stateside and would love to go to hawaii but doesnt have the financial meems to, and then wins the dinner gift certificate or the cruise one. is there a way we could trade withsome on if they are willing.
i dont want to sound ungreatful becasue my most important reason for donating was to help the victims. but a gift certificate thats only good in hawaii doesnt do me much good in florida.
I understand now that there’s a surf meet at Queens the first week in May to support the relief effort. It’s being promoted by all the various christian surfer groups on Oahu.
Maybe you folks could tag up/combine the collection with their efforts.
Too bad on the timing… getting to surf queens all to your self and 3-4 other guys in your heat should be alot of fun if the south comes in as expected.
I hope everything goes well for you all as I don’t think I can do the daytime inter island hop over as expected. but you never know my company’s vice chair and my boss is expecting us to show face at Dave and Buster’s this Sunday for their thank you for a good job party what can I say but that’s life in white collar america
well good luck on breaking away, hope you can make it over for Saturday anyway - gotta take that white collar off at least one day a week! It would be great to have some of the Oahu Swaylockers make it over - I saw a post from Foamdust saying he was probably tied up too, as was CMP…
