Hi there,
Not sure if there’s anyone on here thats interested but I’m organising a surf relief day down in Weymouth (Dorset) on Saturday 2nd July 2005.
The day consists of a board race, beach volleyball comp, and skate comp - along with an awesome party in the evening and film showing! You can find out more at the event web . There’s tonnes of prizes to be won including a 6’7" shortboard shaped by Matt Petrie at Bonito Surfboards, and an Indoboard balance trainer.
It would be really great to see as many people there as possible. Tickets for the party are on sale now, PM me if you’d like one. Volleyball registration etc is all online ready to download.
thanks

hi hobcawannie,
Tsunami Surf Relief UK was set up by concerned surfers in the wake of the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster. We represent the UK’s surfing community and are helping surfers, surf clubs and surf businesses to give something back to devastated areas of Asia. So far we’ve raised over 30,000 GBP. The aim is not to send money out to the effected areas but to finance the construction of homes to help the many homeless families still suffering out in Sri Lanka. Recently a project to construct a community centre and 6 homes (each housing 10 people) was completed.
The SouthCoaster event happening this saturday (2nd July) was designed to commemorate the 6 month anniversary and to bring TSRUK into the public eye along the South Coast of England.
If you would like to donate money to the organisation the best bet is to contact Elain Stockman through the website http://www.tsunamisurfrelief.co.uk . Please quote my name, and the SouthCoaster event so she knows where you’ve come from. If you’d like to donate directly to the SouthCoaster event you are more than welcome. Let me know and I’ll provide you with the correct details.
Thanks for showing an interest. Its much appreciated.
