While doing some cleaning I came across some old Windsurfing brochures from the early 80’s. They were from a company called Meritex (Oakland, CA) that offered computer shaped eps blanks and board kits. What is interesting is that they had given the name Tuflite to their high density foam skinned EPS blanks. This was before Surftech when R. French was doing business as Seatrend. Does anyone know any of the history related to this? Was this a trademark that Meritex had and sold to Surftech or ??? What’s also interesting is that they (Meritex) were computer shaping blanks way back then. Here is the logo and description from their brochure.
