Turn a fin into a 3D computer image

Hey guys,

 

I made myself a simple wooden set of fins a few months ago. Ever since I’ve been pondering how to turn them into a 3D image and as they’re starting the wear now I thought I’d better get round to it to make some more. My cousin designs kitchen worktops and says he would be able to CNC cut a set for me.

But er, how the hell do I go about this? Should I get them scanned those laser thingys, or learn how to use these graphics programs and redesign them? Some advice would be very helpful!

yeah, you need to have them digitally scanned then drawn up using CAD software. 

I have a resource in the states if you’re interested.

Ah coool cheers Kirk. I’m in the UK so theres probably not much point unless it’s alot cheaper in the states. What does it roughly cost?
