Twas the night before Swaylocks

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, Mike Paler was typing and clicking his mouse His pictures were posted on Swaylocks with care, In hopes that Swaylocks East meets West would soon be there His surfboards were set by the chimney above, In hopes that St. Nick would add to his quiver with love There was a swell coming in and he really did need, A big gun with incredible speed So Mike got all nestled all snug in his bed, With visions of huge barrels buzzing in his head And Mike in his jammies and his wife in her cap, They settled down for a long winters nap When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, Mike snapped from his surf dream to see what was the matter It was everyone from Swaylocks shaping a board, Everyone was there, it was such a friendly hoard “Now, PHILLIPS! now, CLEANLINE! now, MELLOR and SHANNON!, On, HERB! on KOKUA! on, MILLER and JENSEN! To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!, Mike said “Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!” Mike was pissed but everyone was there, From the Swaylocks site he just could not bare About to embark on a project with might, They were to build the perfect surfboard, the ultimate sight Standing there all fasinated with foam, They would not leave Mike and just go home They planed and sanded with all their might, To make the perfect surfboard, super strong and light They covered it with resin with a lam of a raindeer, And trimmed the laps so straight and so sheer They hotcoated so smooth it looked of glass, They stood back and admired it en mass The incredible board had perfect foil and rail, It had a stringer of thin gold with a double swallowtail Ten separate concaves, reverse vee, channels, and a deck patch, No board in history could come close to match They stood back and admired the one, That perfect surfboard was finally done All arguments were settled, no one could before agree, They all cheered “HIP, HIP, HAREE!” So Mike came out, said “ What the hell are you doing?”, “I’m trying to sleep, so all you get going” They handed him the perfect surfboard to add to his quiver, And Mike did not know what to say and stood with a shiver “Thanks dudes,” he said with a smile, And happily thought he could add it to his surfboard pile It was a thank you for all the work he had completed, To build a great website that could never be deleted He took the board and headed to the beach, But for the rest of the Swaylockians, they could not reach He took that board and the water he solely greeted, To surf with the board that the Swaylockians completed He took that first wave and caught with ease, Went twenty feet deep in the barrel and was pleased He emerged feeling the willies on that perfect board, And along he rode, lightning fast he soared But distantly they heard him exclaim, ere he surfed out of sight, “HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!” Happy Holidays to Mike and all the Swaylock people. Cheers, Gary Geist
