twin fin boards

I have a question relating to a twin fin set up. I guess I don’t really understand when you can use that sort of set up or when it works best. All I’ve read about are twin set ups on fish style boards. Can you use twin fins on other types of boards? If so, which types?

And, totally off the question of fins, what would be a good board for quite small waves, but possibly not a fish. I’ve discovered in the archives that fish boards perform well in small waves, but there must be others that do too. I’m 5’10" and 140lbs. if that helps and I’m really not interested in a long board (if that even means anything).

THANKS

Two side fins are great when you have a widetailed board that you want to pivot turn hard off the side fins, with release on the other fin.

It also works fine on 8’6" x 18" sorta gun boards.

You should be thinking … SMALL WAVE BOARD. Not any brand label or name, just a flatter rockered, harder railed, wider board than your normal board.

The specs make it a specialized board, the name is tied only the that particular company.

Any tail shape works with any # of fins.
