Twin fin or twin keel ?

Hi so I was wondering on this retro fish I just shaped should I put a twin fins set up or twin keels And I’ve seen very different measurements on where to lay them out board is 6’ 22" wide 3 inches thick need help and advice thank you

Twin keels.  Or, quads.  Twin fins, like an MR type twinnie will probably slip and slide with that big ol tail.  Mine did.  Mike

Twin keels @ 5.5".

Yea cool I think keels then

Depends how you want it to ride I guess

Id suggest throwing some FCS plugs in that way you can experiment a little easier. The original plugs are super simple and can be cut in with a hole saw. I’d say go anywhere from 5 to 7 inches from the tail and 1.5 inch from rail depending on your surfing style. The other thing is your toe for a fish like that I’d probably only do 1.5" to 2" max goodluck! P.s. Is this your first shape? Looks solid.

Thanks Barry. What would you do for toe-in and cant?

Keels

6 1/2" up

1 3/8" in

1/16" toe (on 4.5" segment)

5 degrees cant

Free and easy is close to what I use on single foiled fins. Close enough. I’m hoping Barry S. will come back and recommend something.  Mike

Dang.  That’s a nicely shaped fish.

Fin @ 5.75"

1-1/2" from rail.

5 Degrees. (I put Vee in my tails)

Flat inside.

Barry and Free & Easy-

Thanks for the placement tips.
