I am having a hard time finding specifics on fin placement in the archives. The board I made is 6’6"x 17x21x16x 2-3/4 and the swallow tail is 5 1/2 deep. The fins are glass-on twinzers from fiberglass supply. How far from the tail should I mount the fins? How for from the stringer? Where should the front smaller fins be in relation to the larger fins? Thank you for your responses, again I can’t seem to find them in the archives. If this has been posted could someone repost them if they know where they are. Wombat~~
I have made twinzers. usaully my swallows are 4 1/2" deep. I placed the lower fins at 9" and the upper fins 13 1/2" from the pointy end of the swallow and both fins @ 1-3/8" from the outside edge. thats just how I do it. I also use a slighty bigger fin in the back. I don’t use those small c-5 type front fins. hope this helps.
