US blanks fish blank

I’ve just bought two 6’2"A blanks (US blanks). The published figures in their .pdf file on the website says the wide point of these blanks is 23 5/8"… but on the blanks I’ve got, at no point does the width exceed 22" (and that’s being rather generous). In fact most dimensions along the whole length of the blanks seem to be waaay short. Once cleaned up, none of my previous fish templates fit this blank!

A bit disappointing to say the least, considering the cost of the blanks and carriage to where I live :frowning: Anyone else had similar problems? What blank from the usblanks range are people using for traditional fish and kneeboards?

Tom

note: my sincere apologies to surfblanks usa - I’ve just edited this email as I incorrectly stated that the blank I bought was one of theirs, in fact it’s a US blanks (usblanks.com) blank that I bought here in the UK.

Tom - You are stating the wrong company! Look at the logo on the blank and invoice. Does it say US Blanks??? Our fish blank at Surfblanks America is the 62F and the width of the blank is stated as 25" in the catalog. We have come to find that ours is actually 24 7/8". Granted a 1/8" off of what it states in the catalog, but plenty of width. We also offer a 68F and 72F. Feel free to contact us if you need a blank that fits your needs.
