I’m trying to find out if there’s some sort of way to do a gloss coat with a uv resin. Or do I have to buy regular gloss coat and get a uv catalyst? thanks in advance Willie
hmmm, never tried it. Have tried doing UV Hot coats with some success, but the MEKP hot coats always come out better. You’d have to mix up your own gloss resin and add the powder UV catalyst after. Not sure how well it would work. I suppose that if you had curing lights then you could give it a go. But I wouldn’t it.
Yea, Surf Source has Sun Cure glossing resin. It works great and the color is much brighter than the Richold stuff. Make sure to let sit for about 10 minutes before exposing. Indirect UV works the best.
