Seen this cloth and interested in using it for a full lamination…any one used it if so how easy does it wrap on the rails? Do you need to vac it or is it ok for regular wet layup? Will it wrap ok if you use it with another layer of cloth over the top at the same time? Cheers rich
I’m doing backyard testing. I’m not wraping the rails. I’m using the tighter weave cloth…All hand lay up. I’m happy with the product so far…

Hey Thirdshade
I’m developing a mesh product (tight weave product) and having some success.
Do you want to try some?
I’ll PM you.
yes you can wrap the rails, yes a layer over top will help hold it down. with the slow set of epoxy i would put it in the bag because the fibers tend to wick the resin down the rails and can leave air between the aramid fibers. pu resin shouldnt be an issue. I generally have cut it like a patch to the rail mid point and lapped the glass . Hard to get the weave to match up perfectly but you can get really close. when you get to were the fibers of aramid end be carefull of fraying. the hairspray trick from feral dave works great to keep them together. I recently saw a white version looked very nice!
are you sure its vector net? the shapers one i have seen is quad ax with carbon grid.
sanded, where are you located - i’d like to try some!
Pirate you are correct…I had got the name wrong… The stuff I’d seen was the carbon vector in an e glass cloth…still interested in how this wraps in a wet lam but I’m equally excited by the other stuff…keen to get it all in the mix…
