I am thinking about doing a board with a veneer inlay(?). Can anyone give a good description of the process and/or know anyone in O.C. who works with veneer and wouldn’t mind an observer. Thanks

Vaccum bagging would be the best method. definately. i worked on a board with a 5" inlay down centre on deck and bottom and found the carving out the foil you want in this 5"wide channel and vacuum bagging the veneer (.5mm) with epoxy into this it allowed me to then shape the rest of the blank flush to the veneer and get a good smooth finish to glass onto. dont know if ya gonna use glass as well tho. i had access to a supa vaccum system which was so stgrong it left impressions in the foam of the bubble wrap that you use to allow the air to get evenly sucked out. unless you’re very careful it can be pretty rough on a finished blank as well, so i would leave the final sanding until after wherever ya can. bes t a luck
