Brian was a friend to many of us growing up surfing in Pensacola. His factory is where boardbuilders like Steve Forstall and Rick Bullock got their start. Super intelligent and nice gentleman. His mother is one of the best artist I have seen. Very artistic family. Brian always loved eggs. The surfboard variety. This is part one. He discusses more in part two.

First surfboard in our house was an ISLANDER shaped by Brian Waters. My older brothers...... I was probably 11 or 12 years old. 5'11" twin fin with tons of channels on the bottom and a beatiful blue airbrush job...
The first surfboard I bought with my own money was a 6’8’’ winger pin single Islander. My first custom was a 6’2’’ six channel double wing pin tail twin fin shaped by BW. I bet you and I know each other. GB class of 81
