Volan glass job input.

I know this is like kicking a dead thread, Volan that is…

I searched and searched, maybe its the new sways forums or what but came up short.

I’m doing a 60’s inspired noserider and what to use a nice heavy volan glass. Foamez offers 7.5oz, and I’ve found others too.

Will I obtain that classic greenish tint with this?

Also, I plan to do some acrylic paint splatter pannels, and resin pannels but usure of the accent colors to use as of yet. Any recomendations of colors that

accent well with the volan glass?

ANY volan glass job pics apprecieted, thanks!

The 7.5 oz will give you the tint you seek, even darker if you double it.

Yay B.K. chimed in!

Was thinking 7.5oz bottom, 6oz sglass full deck patch w/ 7.5oz full lam top.

When you say double it. Do you mean double up on the 7.5oz volan layers top and bottom? If so wouldn’t that achieve a much greater total board weight? I’m not too dialed in how much total board weight to glass oz. weight ratio.

Thanks for the reply.

If you do your full length deck patch in silene, and top layer and laps in volan, you will have double volan layers on the rails, with darker contrast to the flats, top and bottom. Stronger rails, as a bonus. I’m also assuming single volan on the bottom. You can also get a good color contrast with single volan on the bottom, and double silene on the deck. Lots of ways to ‘‘skin the cat.’’
