Does anyone know the difference between Volan 10oz. style 7500 and style 1800?
It seems that 7500 has a twisted yarn…I think this style is the most used but I am not sure…
What is the best choice for classic old-style longboard?
Thanks!

Style 7500 is the well known 10 ounce boat and tooling fabric. 7500 has a count of 16 x 14 ends per inch, uses the yarn ECG 37-1/2 in the warp and fill, has a breaking strength of 300 x 250 and a thickness of 0.0110. 7500 is a close to cousin to style 1800 but generally softer and more conformable to lay up being that it has a 9 micron glass filament instead of the 13 micron filament used in 1800. There’s not a lot of 7500 woven in comparison to other fabrics as the primary end use is in general wet lay up operations.
fiberglasssupply sells both, but only has the 7500 in 60" width…
