Hi, Can anyone tell me how a Wagner type paint sprayer would do for painting a solid color (acrylic). I’ll be painting on the sanded hot coat. I just want a solid color without brush marks and I don’t have an air compressor. Thanks in advance for any advice.
(I searched the archives but didn’t see much discussion about this so it must be a bad idea.)
itrobins-----If you use the old type wagner airless valve/ball type and a fine finish tip, you can get a nice solid color on foam or a sanded board. Piston type pumps flucuate too much and leave lines. I suppose you could even use a wagner power painter it just won’t do as nice a job. Go easy and apply a couple of coats with dry or at least tack time in between. McDing
