Board has perfect rocker imo, but isnt wide enough. The blank I have is a clark foam supergreen 6’2" - it isnt very thick. But I was thinking I could make the thickness up in the fiberglass job. Any opinions on how I should do the fish? The board is 20 inches wide, and Im pretty sure is a short board set up. I was thinking maybe just designing a normal shortbaord with a fish tail? I dunno. Gimme your opinions.
Is that scan out of “Surfboard Design and Construction” by Jim Knistle? How much would a copy of that book set me back?
Thanks for the detailed response. I saw that the board there is 5’5", how exactly would I bump that up to a 6’0 model? I’m very new at shaping, but - as my friends can attest - its all I talk about nowadays.

Barry. Mail me at I’ve got a little excell spread sheet that will scale up a fish to any lenght / width. And it looks identical in shape to the one you displayed .
Thanks Paul, that goes straight into my archive. Interesting way of measuring rocker… regards, Håvard
Paul, if I mailed you $10 or $12 could you send me a copy of that book? in no particular rush.
