Hi Guys,
I’ve been listening to some old podcasts from The Boardroom Show. There is an interview from around 2020 with Louie Hayward where he’s talking about a single pot water based resin for laminating?!!! What is this product? I can’t find any information on it. Does anyone know of anything available?
Cheers.

(Don’t know about laminating with it though. Don’t believe FG cloth is hydrophilic). Ask Lemat.
Epoxy water base is two component and use as a primer or a varnish not for laminate fiberglass. I know you can use fiber for reinforce acrylic resins wich can be two or mono component in water.
Thanks guys, I’ll keep digging and see if I can get to the bottom of it. It was definitely a laminating resin. He described being able to pour it from the pot (no mixing) onto the board and then squeegee thoroughly, scraping excess back into the pot and sealing. Then in the right temperature it cured in around 30 mins. Everything could be cleaned in hot soapy water. It sounds too good to be true … hmmm.
It is.!!!
I’ve gone back and listened again, when first mentioned he talks about it being proprietary. He expands on it from around 49.00 in this podcast.
The main detail is at the 57.30
It maybe never went to market?
ive used something from these before Sycomin epoxy
Thanks Jake, I’ll look into it. I’ve checked the website, it doesn’t mention water based but they have some interesting products!
