Having previously used only premixed sanding resin, I am about to hotcoat a board mixing my own. How much wax do I add to say a quart of resin? As always THANKS. ed
After the board is done and sanded, rub the wax onto the top.
Ed - Archive it. The info is here - probably from Herb or Kokua
I don’t have my notes in front of me, but 20cc to a 1/2 quart sounds right.
I had the same question when I needed to hot coat my first board, but there wasn’t Swaylocks back then. I managed to contact a guy in my area and he said “Just throw about a cap full into a quart of resin.” It didn’t sound too technical but it has always worked for me.
…Standard measuremebts are 30cc per quart.Alittle more or less won’t really make a difference,as long as the agent is fresh.Herb
i always put in 3 oz. of resin in a GALLON of lam resin for sanding resin. if that helps. good luck.
Thanks guys, I think I did ok. Got a nice smooth tack free surface. Now on to sanding the bugga. ed
