Ok, OK get your minds out of the trash can, there must be some Gals out there who have some real talent when it comes to making boards. Ok, Ok, we have seen the 3 gals ladies from China on a post…not to say they don’t qaulify, but lets start with 4 roles…plus 1 for the testosterone freaks!

Best Gal Shaper…

Best Gal Glasser…

Best Gal Sander

Best Gal Hotcoat/Fin install/Polish (easy guys)/ding/all rounder.

Then Best Pin Up Gal who can’t do any of above but REALLY deserves to be on a wall because…well just …because!

This is not an election (or erection…for Japan readers…maybe that may come up) so Hilary Clinton is OUT…Monica…well you decide.

Leslie (or Lesley?) @ Fatty Fiberglass in Ft. Bragg, Ca does INDEED have “wall value”. I’ve not used her (their?) services, BUT I think some of us have seen the finished product here on the 'locks…smooth and shiny indeed. Real fine color work also. Nice to have some balance to all the male-bonding on boards. Since I’m nominating her, now I HAVE to go north and get a few glassed.

Devy, who owns Tiger G glassing in San Diego, she’s a laminator and grew up in Java.

Quite a story.

For sanding, I’ve heard so much about Dale Velzy’s wife(?) named Betty.

There are a couple of female shapers in our area making an existence out of it…

I second Surfmystic’s nomination of Leslie. She’s a brilliant glasser, has a greenhouse dedicated to carnivorous plants, and breeds reptiles of all kinds. Plus, she actually ASKS to be called Fatty!

She’s notoriously camera-shy, but I managed to snap this pic of her working on a board last time I was up in Ft. Bragg.

Can’t believe I made it through this questionable post without referring to her ‘rack’…

Forgot some rules...

Role 4 Pin Ups will score extra credit if a pic is included with details…How long on wall…layers of shaping dust or resin splatter ( I said resin) or notes of appreciation scribbled by various desperates.

In roles 1-4…not just names…details or a pic of her at work or of her actual craftwomanship…a story about a board she did.

Lastly no nominations from Borat…he has way too many lady skills for Sways.
