Wanted to give a shout out to Greg Webber’s ‘Electra’ surfboard. Its the same one that Kelly surfed during lock-down and I have a 6’6" and a smaller 6’3" on the way. Its got a bullet nose, deep concaves, breakaway wing and the fins are placed further up than a standard shortboard. I have it 21"+ wide and its makes a lot of sense for an older guy…stable, fast, easy wave catching!
Coupled with Greg’s fin designs and you have a futuristic design that is actually very predictable. Not sure why Webber designs are not in huge demand? I use in small waves and also in the large bumpy stuff, saving my shortboard for the chest-head high good days. Go Greg!
