one of my friends has a a 6’9 dewey weber ski from 1968 theres a pic of one in the new issue of longboard magazine, page 78 . is something that should be ridden or wall mounted. i am all in favor of riding it but i dont want to mess it up if its truly a collectors item. its in really good condidtion but theres a new fin in it. how rare are these boards and what kind of blank should i use if i want to build one of these.
I remember when the Weber Ski was the state of the art design. Those pics of Nat ripping Sunset, under the lip backside re-entrys must have sold a ton of them. I’d say ride it, get the feel, vibe of what the board was about…

any body have any suggestions on the type of blank that i should use. am i am going to need to buy a significantly longer blank to get the thickness and rocker right.
I had a couple of those when I rode for Weber, I loved em. Great boards in their day.
