Well on the road again!

After paul jenson’s workshop I will be leaving vancouver Island and driving down to San Diego for the rest of the winter to work. Not much up here in Tofino during the winter. Well i will be driving my old V Dub van down the whole coast. If anybody wants to meet up for a surf I would love to meet some fellow swaylockians. I hope my van makes it! Also if anybody hears anything about work for ding repair or glassing please shoot me a line. Also I am a USCG masters 50ton captain if anybody has any leads. I am hoping I can steal the wifes camera for the trip down so I can post some photos of the drive (she is working till end of dec then meeting me). Thanks guys it should be fun!

Also I will work anywhere it dosen’t have to be San Diego I just lived there for a long time.

let’s see, I think there are one or two Swaylocks guys in San Diego – hmmm who is there anyway? well Resinhead if you want to go on a seal bashing trip… stingray if you surf N. County… I’m sure there’s at least ONE more. Or a dozen. Or three…

Give us a head’s up when you get close, we’ll organize a parade into town and then go surf – or something!!

that sounds great Keith, i have always wanted my own parade haha. I think I will take photos of everyone and the trip down and post a daily thing on this thread. I am really stoled to meet alot of you guys!

I am so stoked this will be great! its funny how I am so excited by this and I thought I was jaded by traveling around the world and surfing for years.

So I left vancouver island today. Had perfect overhead wedging barrels yesterday to send me off. I took some pictures of victoria as I left on the ferry I will post those with the photos of our first day at jensons workshop tommarrow. I am stealing WiFi form the local safeway and am headed of to find a good parking space to sleep in. Cheers, I miss my wife already but it is good to be on the road again!

Well I am here in Wahington at Paul Jensons workshop. IT is Farkin great. I have been hangin and working about 12 hours a day its been so much fun, great time. I am goin to pu the rails on my board tommarrow and today I foiled and made my first set of fins with pauls help to make the panel. Does anybody have any advice on glassing on wood fins with epoxy? Well i have about 2 more days here in Port Townsand, which I am sad about since it is a great place. I don’t think this trip could of started better.

Sorry, haven’t updated information in a while, forget about the Venice part. Avalanche, Ocean Beach is one of my favorite spots besides for the cliffs. It would be really cool to get a beer-b-cue going or something…

Things are slow at the main job so I’m picking up part time stuff as it comes along. That makes me busy and broke at the same time…Contact me via Pm…Maybe we can surf…I’m near Carlsbad…
