What do you think about Olaian glass schedule

6,6,4 / 4,6

:face_with_peeking_eye:

I think the carbon uni should be under one of the glass layers…and that the CAD textures are backwards for 4 and 6 oz…but would be more than happy to have one built as shown. Please send sample board to…

Once heard a well known glass shop refer to web-fused carbon tapes as “expensive pinlines”.

If using carbon tapes for strength (and not just looks) then the fiberglass woven carbon tapes are much stronger.

I agree with the carbon and wouldn’t it be easier to deal with the 4Oz on the outside? Easier to fill coat and therefore sand, less weight etc?

Overkill!!

Should outlast the average board

Not sure what density the eps is

warning, i am going off topic and what i am going to write here is an opinion of my own.

Hello, those surfboards are the ones sold at decahtlon it’s not a surfbrand it’s a shelf product from a company that also sells you underwear, golf balls, shoes or whatever sports related. ( The olaian wax sucks by the way)

that said and because i am curious i tested one.
the swallow tail, wide performance model, it has a fish logo.
they are light, they float a lot and they are tough, definitly beginer friendly and good for mushy surf from small to a fair bit overhead.
i could do a summer season with one, no worries.
So whatever they are doing is well done altough in my opinion it lacks surf heart and soul.

now the problem is that i think decahtlon it’s the wrong place to buy a surfboard. ( The surf atmosphere or knowledge of the people working there about surfing is close to zero.)
you will be going there to buy a surfboard if you are a beginer or intermidiate surfer and you will get a pretty good more or less, kind of board that somehow maybe or maybe not good for you!

…i think most of the people here will understand that what i want to say is:

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHAPER
SUPPORT YOUR BACKYARD SHAPER BUDDY
ETC…

merry christmas and a happy new year to everyone.

cheers and good waves.
