What fin would you recommend for this board?

I’m having a 6’4" board shaped for me, as seen on the diagram below:

http://www.humblesoul.com/kahaluuspecial/models.html

…that was inspired by a Plastic Fantastic board, similar to a for sale listing that was recently posted for sale on Swaylock’s. The board has minimal rocker and more of a “rounded pin” tail.

What kind of fins were used on the Plastic Fantastics 70s style boards? Rakey flex fins? Wide base? Help??? I need to buy a commercially available fin!

I’m 5’11, 165.

Input appreciated…

Thanks, Chip! You have the fastest keyboard on Swaylocks!

That was a neat board! It’s a mix of many different things…

Anything between a stiff 7.75 swept stubby to an 8.5 cutway for loose, wide base for holding power, to a 9.5" sabre swept for powerful full lay down bottom turns with spring from the rebound flex.

Depends how you want to surf and what kind of waves, of course.

Sidestreet, you surf Kahaluu?

Honolulu-

I stay mostly in town: my home. If I’m motivated, I do the NS. I usually like 4’ and under. Whenever, I head towards Kahaluu side thinking I have the winds figured out, I’m usually disappointed. You would know better than me!

Very good fin for the era
