What Grit Sandpaper for Epoxy Sanded Finish

I have made several boards from epoxy but have always went all the way to a gloss coat with wet sand paper up to 1500.

I want to just make a sanded finish on my current project.

I was going to sand the hotcoat with 100 grit then go to 220.

Should I start at 220, and then finish with a higher paper.

Last, should you do a second hotcoat before final sanding, a cheater coat. A lot of times when sanding the first hotcoat

you start to see weave.

I dont know what the others do but I’m not ashamed of doing a double sand coat

And the second coat usualy levels out super sweet.

I do a second cheater coat, too. Don’t want any pinholes getting into the eps. I sand it to 220. Mike

Been doing two coats. Not too thick though. then sand 100, 220.

I’ve sanded to 600 but don’t really think it’s worth the effort.
