…im going with: (used) 50, 60, 80, (semi new) 120, (new) 240…perfect finish
…the 50 grit clean the planer and surform marks. i go heavy with this
…60 clean 50 ´s. go a couple wipes
…80 clean 60´s. go slightly
…120 sligthly
…240 clean everything
is that for eps also ?
Here’s my recipe:
HTH
“120 grit Japanese screen block and pull”
no comprende.
What the heck is 120 grit Japanese screen?
Hey Keith, how have things been?
I’ve only been able to get the 120 grit screen from a couple of occaisional sources. The stuff comes from Japan and the screen seems to be slightly elastic which makes it insane for compound curves like the rails. Being that fine also puts a great finish on the foam.
I use it on the block, and I use it to pull the rails.
Thanks,
George
…if you go with channels or blending concaves, 120 grit is a heavier one…im still with 240 grit…with the concave channels i go with 280 grit…
…also rigid foam pad for most bottom parts like flats, but soft pads for the deck…
…the final sand do with with soft and thicker foam in which i glue the sandpaper…
