It goes away sometimes, I think cause of all of those big pictures copied in the posts.
I was told to use attachments for more space.
==================================================================
my first trip to Kauai, still a grom, I saw Tiger, J.Lukas, and Cabell riding the bay on a big day.
I made it 1/2 way out, on my 7’4" california BB board, before turning back.
Those guys drew some lines!
…oops !
Guilty as charged . Sorry , people !
… attachments it is from now on , then , if/ when the “upload attachment” device “returns” …
cheers !

By the way…how does it actually work , that attachments save space ? [I don’t have any idea about that sort of stuff]
Howzit FlaSkimmer, Strange since I just looked at some pics that oneula posted today. Maybe try the image buttom.Aloha,Kokua
I’ve got the same problem…Mods??
First of all you need to keep your graphics elsewhere.
I stash mine over at the surfermag site and let their server carry the load.
All I’m doing is using a reference link to tie back to the image that being hosted by surfer for me, Mike and the rest of you folks to see. That way there’s no DASD overhead load on Mike’s account thta he has to pay for to his ISP host. AT most it’s a bandwidth issue passing the link to image to the receiving IP from his website.
When you attach an image to your message you are actually loading it up onto Mike’s server and taking up disk space. Kind of like how your outlook mailbox or .pst folder will fill up if you recieve alot of attachments with your mail… That’s also why he has to limit the size of the image file because he has to move all those bits across the lines every time you send them or someone down loads them.
That’s why I don’t send my graphics along as attachments. That’s prefer to use links to other website locations that will carry the load for Mike then it’s only a matter of bandwidth between your computer, mike’s server and the server he’s linking to.
The internet is basically a bunch of simple text strings linking a bunch of pieces togethor to paint these pretty environments we think we are sitting around chatting… It’s really kind of like the Matrix, the underlying structure of the WWW is just a bunch of simple HTML, XML, and linked javascirpt…
Refersh your browser to get rid of the boxed red-x or adjust your browser…
If you ever want to see the world you are actually living here…
Just right click on your mouse while you are here and select “view source” from the drop down menu… Then you’ll see what’s actually happening…
Like I said kind of matrix-like spooky when you see it…
Yup all fake all artificial…
You aren’t real…
just a keystroke in someones mind…
It happened before when Mike’s server ran out of space for images.
Not sure what the remedy might be this time. I suspect we have all loaded up too many images.
I remeber that happening, I thought it was just my computer, also can only use the basic editor.
Just when I got some decent pics to post (finally) DANG.
and it would be a real shame to lose all the great images already posted
hope we can get them all back.
The alien races that reside in the black hole of cyberspace must see some very interestng stuff. Wonder what they think of it?
