Hello, I was told this forum was the place to find out what my 653 versa plane may be worth. I am the original owner and it is time to down size my shop. The plane is in good working order, any help you could provide would be welcome.

Nice and in good shape. And to my mind, the best power plane ever made. Which was also the opinion of one Phil Becker, one of the best production surfboard shapers ever. The spiral cutters give the smoothest surface, even in wet oak.
I paid ( twenty or thirty years ago or more) something like $325 off of eBay, with the factory steel box, manuals and the factory cutter sharpening jig and wheel. You could probably at least double that now, especially if you have extra cutters.

I do not have any extra cutters, however a company in the US (name is escaping me ) is making them and you can also buy a multi blade cutter now as well. I agree to the quality of the plane they leave a beautiful finish. I used mine to flatten sign blanks. Thank you for your input.
