✅ What’s the best adhesive for disc sanders?

Did you get the can and does it work well?

If you use a heat gun or an old blow dryer to remove used paper from your pad, it will last forever. I’ve got a couple of cheapo Harbor Freight heat guns. But what I prefer is a blow dryer I purchased at Goodwill. Blow dryers don’t get as hot, but still hot enough to peel paper off a pad easily. The other thing I got at Goodwill is a Crock Pot. I use it to liquify my Epoxy Resin when it goes solid. Loosen the lid on a gallon. Set it in the pot, pour water in around it and set on low.

Another good trick is if you have a pad that you like just add some hook and loop to it with the 3M spray Then stick some 60grit screen to it to use as your New “Hook and loop” . Then Use whatever hook and loop backed paper or screen you want, it will stick to the 60grit but comes off easy and can quickly change grits. Better for shaping and polishing foam.

That’s a pretty good trick. I’m so “old school” though. I would miss cutting out all those circular disks. I like the 3M feathering adhesive, but most of the time I use whatever is handy. Drywall adhesive, 3M77 etc. They still make “Tacki” but when I was on Maui they hid it under the counter and only sold it to the guys that ask for it and knew how to use it. Trying to take paper off a pad that has been applied with Tacki without using a heat gun will flock up your pad. After a few complaints from people who didn’t know better, they decided to hide it. They did the same with”Power Pads” after a couple of them flew apart. Strictly due to novice types that didn’t know there is a limit on how many RPMs you can run them at.
