cork is cool

well that looks cool

you got a pic of the entire board

Nice… Very Nice…

I like the hint of natural cork showing through the clear resin…

Well done…

I tinted a test panel of cork with crimson red and epoxy… It looked promising…

You’ve hit it out the park…

I'll be gawl darned! You are on to something BB.

Charlie did you do the glassing? That’s really nice.

Inspiration for the colors was the scarf the librarian was wearing the day I was fondled in the atlas section in 1967.

To this day I have a Klenex tucked in my sleeve to remind me of the trauma the bright colored scarf wearing librarian did to me. She was not nice

Are those tint or solid color? i got some of the CoreCork and been think about tinting it.  I guess i have to do couple test tinted panel and see if i can get some cool color out of it.

Harry, I did the glass job.

ylucycle, I used four colors ,purple, white, flouresent red and aqua blue and brown was included from the cork. Made 30cc of each color and seperately syringed hap hazardly the fine lines of resin to the taped off board on exposed cork that I wanted to be colored.  Then using a spay paint art technique, take a plastic bag with gloved hands and wad bag up and dab the resin with the bag to acheive the effect. Let dry and fiberglass your board as usual.

it would take the posting of CMP, Carvenalu, Drew and Jim Phillips in the Ewa Beach thread  to bring a smile on my face browsing through this place again.

the core crew of the swaylocks aloha do-ers does it again.

Mahalos

Very cool.  I love the color work.

I was thinking it may have been one of those skinz or whatever thing that Bernie had that you made a board with.

That’s really cool and very artistic. I bet Blaine will be blown away.

BB30, thanks for the response.  Did you wait up til the color epoxy semi harden than lay on the glass or how long did you wait til you lay your normal glass on after the color work?  I was think if i wait till the color epoxy harden, i would have to sand the finish before i can glass it. thanks
