Haven’t seen this question asked…what are you riding right now and why? Not what do want or wish you had, and not what’s hanging in your gameroom wall. What gets wet all the time? 7’4" Newbalonie thruster with removable fins: By far the most versatile surfboard design I’ve ridden. Knee high to double overhead, just slap in different fins for different conditions. 7’4" Liddle 'Tweener: Smooth speed, rail turns, it’s got that “feel” I love. Still getting it dialed in. Morey Booger: Playa Dominical (C.R.) dredging left peaks…Since I’m a regular foot (and 50 years old), the booger is the only way for me to make 'em. Neumatic 420/70: Dale’s mat is so different from, well, anything. Only a few waves so far but there lurks something magical in that bag of air. Newbs
In size order… 6’4" self-shaped tri fin squashtail egg. 6’9" self-shaped swallow tail single fin. 6’10" self-shaped double ender 2+1 round pin egg. 8’11" self-shaped single fin pintail longboard. 9’0" Iron Cross Red Baron Model 2+1 longboard. 9’6" Hynson Redfin. 10’2" Ace 5 fin longboard. The 6’10" and 8’11" get ridden most…I love that double ender egg, it rides everything around here (south orange county). Justin.
Newbs: 6’2" twin fin Fish shaped by me, best at chest high to overhead. 7’4" single fin shaped by me, eggy, wide, V-bottom, inspired by browsing G.Liddle’s site. Fun and versatile up to overhead, a current favorite. 9’6" 1967? Surfboards Hawaii Stylist II (pintail shaped by D.T.(akayama)? 0’-4’ surf. Neumatic Surfcraft- surfmat by Dale Solomonson. By far the most interesting piece in the quiver, but still a virgin with 25-30 waves on it. I never leave home without it and if I were to hop a bus to Mexico tommorrow, I believe it would be all that I’d pack. I’ve had some of the best trips I’ve ever taken when travelling light. Wide nose and tail, three fins, thick full rails. Paddles good and really fun to ride. 9’0" Modern longboard. Single fin, full low rails, a bit thick for a person my weight but use the thickness to my advantage. Still finding out new things about this board, which is 4 mos. old. 9’0" Modern retro. I was really surprised how much fun this board turned out to be. THICK, wide, and kind of a plank. But I love the glide and noserides. I have a few other boards, couple longboards, hybrids and another fish that I use on occasion, but these are my main rides. FD
I have 4 boards A 9’6" traditional volan longboard with a variety of fins(flexy fluid foil 10" my fave, except when choppy) , 50/50 rails, no sharp edges anywhere! A 9’ modern “Beckham” Longboard Revolution Twin Fin(will post some pics)good for bigger suckier days A 6’10" homemade egg A 6’3" MR twin fin emulation A 5’11" Tony Dempsey twin fin emulation(just finished) By far I am a longboarder at heart, but love the shorter twins Holger ps have my first longboard in the pipeline, cheated and got a profiled blank for first try.

Hard to explain to non-surfer who visit asto why you need to have so many boards. The best analogy I usually use is to relate it to golf. “You could use the same club on every shot on each hole but this probably would not help your score, same for surfing and increasing the fun factor a board for every shot”
