Is it blank plus machining plus resin and fibreglass? Is it just the blank? Can’t seem to find any mention of warranty on any of the blank manufacturers websites that I checked. I would of thought blank plus machining plus resin and fibreglass seems reasonable enough. Anyone else been through this experience and what did you receive as compensation? Was it a brand new house? New car? Boat? Or did you receive what you need to make the board again.
Just to update, if there isn’t a standard warranty can we agree to one? Might make some manufacturers take notice if enough people agree to it here on Sways and it’s reasonable.
The one time it happened to me, my retailers (Viral Surf here in France) gave me three blanks as a compensation. I suppose that you should look for an agreement with the manufacturer and/or retailer but I doubt there is a general rule.
Thanks Balsa.
The deanbonkovich international collective agreement of professional surfboard manufactures for shrunken blank compensation or DICAPSMSBC for short?
what brand blank and what material
for example ive seen eps boards that have shrunk glassed with epoxy
i had a urethane blank warp using UV cure on a hot day and kicking it to fast
i have had blanks replaced that have had excess voids
btw you seem to be having lots of problems dean. with materials and customer satisfaction. maybe change tact.
