can anyone recommend a distributor with a good selection of glass-on fins?!?
i had seen the fins at fiberglass supply, but they don’t really have what i’m looking for. the one on the far right could be fun on a few boards, but i’m looking for a more pivot-style fin like on the old Bing David Nuuhiwa…or maybe for a different board something like what Gene Cooper uses on The Device. also, i’d like to find something similar to the fin used on Da Cat…all glass-ons.

i was actually just looking at Gene’s website at the different fins he has. he’s got an 11-1/2 inch pivot fin that looks great…and of course The Device fin. now i’ve just got to track down a Da Cat fin. i think Tyler Hatzikian has something similar??

not a fan of TA, but i really like Rainbow as well as Island Fin Design. unfortunately, neither site has any information about ordering the fins as glass-ons. i figure i could probably just cut the box piece off, but i don’t want to spend $50-$60 on a fin and then go hack it to pieces.
True Ames has the Yater Spoon fin, copied by Dora / Noll for Da Cat model. It’s a box fin…I cut the tabs off on my chop saw for Yater all the time.
oooo…i had just looked at the fins they had on their intro page…not the whole selection. there’s some decent stuff in there if ya dig for it. i’d still prefer to be able to buy a glass-on rather than grinding off the box tab…but if i have to, i will.
