Anyone know where you can buy wholesale EPS blocks (like Bert’s below) in CA? I’d imagine these would have to be bought locally… could you imagine the shipping costs for something like this?!?

San Luis Obispo… though I wouldn’t be buying any until June or July. Just trying to get a feel for the price of these beasts. Come summer I’ll probably be ordering two to three 8’x4’x3’ blocks a month (mostly 1.5 lb but also some 1 and 2 lb orders also).
There’s an Insulfoam factory in Dixon (near Davis/Sacramento) and I’ve heard you can special order from there.
Mike Eaton gets blocks up to 16’ long from someplace in Chino.
I recently found blocks of 1# at up to 8’x4’x6" at Bob’s Foam Factory in Fremont. I bought the 5" because it was cheaper & I didn’t need that much rocker…
I live in the same area. I have two or three friends that are interested in buying some eps also. If you want we can get together to make the cost a little more affordable by buying bulk or possible splitting fuel costs. I sometime venture up around the dixon area. Email me if your interested.

The factory in Chino is Inulfoam. Thier max capacity is 32"x48"x192"(16’). Falcon foam in L.A. says they can go as big as 24’, but you must order a whole truck load. Insulfoam can go bigger out of their Nor-Cal factory. There is a Falcon foam distibutor in Burbank called Foam Sales and Marketing. They carry EPS and XPS as well as urethane.
Thanks much agua. Insulfoam looks like it will work just fine. It’d be nice to find a local supplier (anywhere between santa maria and salinas), but either of those locations will work.
What factory are most guys buying their foam from…like Point Blanks and Jeff Wells?
Point blanks, supposedly has thier’s custom made. I think they are XPS, as well. My supplier (Victory foam), in Tustin, charges me .45 cents per board foot. They are a distributor for Insulfoam. You probably won’t be able to buy direct but will be refered to a distributor in your area.
