Where to get blanks in San Diego

Where do people in San Diego get blanks from. I was going to get one from Mitches in Solana beach but just curious if there are other options.

As a total beginer would you recommend polyurethane or EPS. I will not be doing the glassing.

??!?!?! REALLY? Do they have a good selection of the Walker blanks or is it ustom only or what? That would be awesome, then I wouldn’t have to make hour and a half drive up there!

Wind’n Sea has been selling Walker blanks for some time. I though you knew that Ten? There is also a shop owned by The guys from Leucadia surf shop in San Marcos/Escondido area at Mission and Nordal. They sell Walker blanks. 760-737-2324. They sell some sweet looking custom longboard blanks. Make sure you inspect them real good before buying. I bought a couple blanks just last week. They had a 25% off sale in Feb. For Clark blanks I go to Bashams in San Clemente. They have a big selection and the best prices for blanks and stuff.

I do my clark foam special order stuff at Mitch’s in La Jolla on Pearl St.

Do they sell blanks at the mitch’s At the Salona Beach Mitch’s and I did nt know you could buy blanks in escondido i gotta go there, i just knew about the mitch’s in La Jolla

I bought a 7’3" Clark blank from Mitch’s in Jan for $65.00 out the door including tax. Shipman tells me I could have saved about $10-$15 if I would have gone to San Clemente.

I bought a 6’5" Walker blank out the door including tax for $40 from the San Marcos warehouse (lucadia surfshop owned) In March. I think that’s a limited time sale price.

I’m learning to shape so I don’t know much about the brands and difference in foam. If you live in So.Cal you have lots of options
