Hi shifty,
I could’nt get cork on a roll over here in the UK, I just use 2 packs of unsealed cork floor tiles from the local hardware store, once its glassed you can’t see the joins.
Likewise, I looked for months for some cork on the roll and came away with tiles. Just found a model train shop 5 mins down the road who sells it on the roll but works out dead expensive. Like woody says you cant see the joins once its sanded and glassed anyway, and they’re probably easier to work with being smaller.
cheers for the reply’s. what size do the tiles come in? i may have to do just that i guess…
Go to Bunnings and buy 2 packs of floor tiles, they’re about $15.00 a pack of 10 measuring 30cm x 30cm…
You can save weight and amount of cork used by starting off the rails using 2cm strips and leaving a gap in the middle for about 4 layers before going solid…
