I’m sorry if you’re already read posts like this, but I tried searching for any old posts on this, but the archive is currently down. So I was wondering if those of you who know could help me out with this: In your opinion, which fin system is the easiest to install for shortboards. I planning on shaping a board, I was going to strip an old surfboard and reglass and practice on that, but I just needed to know which fin system was the easiest to install. It seems like the fcs would be the easiest, since they use round plugs which would be easy to drill, then resin and just drop the plugs in, assuming they’re straight. I was also considering future fin boxes or o’fish’l boxes. Thanks for any input you have.
Future Fin system is a breeze. No jig necesary. Just trace the boxes in place and rout. Use common sense and you can’t go wrong!
They install same as FCS but sand out a lot nicer.
Ricks on the ball. All you need is their position template a set of setting jigs($10 aus.) and a hole saw for your drill it’s a piece of cake…
