White Pony style simmons board

Anyone here have any experience making or riding a "white pony" style mini-simmons board?  I have a 8' funboard style black that i may try to make a 5'3" or so out of...

For those unfamiliar with the design, it is a thick version of a mini-simmons with a shallow swallowtail.  Looks like a fun board to bring along in case the waves are lacking the juice....

Been riding a 5’2 for a while now. def a really fun board. catches waves easy, handles even some steep drops pretty well! not as good as a regular squaretailed minisim in catching waves but it wont have all that tail in the back either. def a bit more user friendly model as compared to a reg minisim. highly recommended! make it a twinzer btw.

Cool!  Who made yours?

Here is the template I made... (if I can figue out how to attach the pdf..)

Larmo.

Hey guys, sorry to dig up this old thread, but I’d like to use the pdf template above and am unsure how to print to scale (if possible?) thanks, Belch

Hey Belchfire,

You are welcome to use the outine, unfortunately, it is not to scale.  You may be able to somehow set the paper size large enough to make it work.  I tried to turn my cadd file into a pdf to scale for you, but it didn't work.  If you can figure out how to scale it - have at it.

The quickest and easiest way I have found to scale and make templates like this is with the AKU shaper software. Pull the points around to get the template the same as you see in the pdf. with the same dimensions, and then you can get it printed at most copy centers. I usually use a shapers square and a roll of butcher paper, plotting points to connect. Works well for me and is quick, easy, and accurate.
