'Whities' along the rail... fix or ignore?

Roo …somehow?!  I was unable to use the reply button to your post, but thanks.  I like to expand the question based on your reply; would sanding …then resin with a light vacuum get new resin back into the existing cloth?  A couple of these are less than dime-size.  …classic transportation issue.  Thanks again.  Jim

I’ve got a boad with a few rail ding or compressions …you can see the weave but the skincoat is not all cracked.  Should I sand down and get some resin back into the cloth …sand light and re-coat …or?  I appreciate the help.  Thanks.  Jim

Hey Jim.  A picture would be helpful, but if you have any doubt about water leaking in there I’d treat it as a ding and repair it. Sand it, tape around it, add new fiberglass over the ding, cut tape and sand it smooth. Mike
