Other than Linden and DT, can anyone shed light on some other shapers who are using the Walker Blanks with consistency. peace out.
Peace out?
Weber has always used Walker on their Performer and Legend models. It is feels harder than Clark foam, and is a bit heavier. I have done restorations on old Weber boards from the 70’s that were made with Walker foam, and they have little or no deck denting. Just my observation.
Johnny Rice
Gene Cooper uses walker foam as well.
I do.
But you’ve never heard of me!
Drew
takayama, and everybody now
I know somebody said that Foam EZ had a stack of Clarks saved for Tyler, but I know that he’s been using Walker for a while.
tyler does not use walker foam
That’s just what I was told yesterday from somebody who knows him pretty well.
I saw a stack of Clark blanks marked “Tyler” at FH in Santa Cruz. It could certainly be that he uses both, its not unheard-of.
he advertises that he only uses clark blanks…using anything else could lead to problems if a customer wanted clark and got something else without consent
not that you could tell the difference any how
West Coast Surfboards uses Walker foam, always have and always will. Been using them since they open their factory in Wilmington. That might tell you how old I am…lol

I HAVE USED BOTH CLARK AND WALKER, I KNOW THAT SOME OF THE MURF BOARDS SOLD LAST YEAR WERE MADE FROM WALKER FOAM BECAUSE I GLASSED THEM. i WOULD PREFER CLARK BECAUSE THE MOLDS WERE MORE PRECISE AND THE GLUE AND STRINGERS WERE CLEANER, BUT ALL THAT IS MUTE NOW. I AM SURE THE QUALITY OF WALKER BLANKS WILL IMPROVE DRASTICALLY SINCE THE DOOR OPENED FOR SOMEONE TO MILK THE CASH COW.
On Maui----------- Wayno"Maui Surfboards" and Ole. Maybe not every board but quite a few. McDing
Walker has always been the best for classic longboard shapes as well as anything getting resin color . It is so easy to get nice finish work, I have been using it since the early 90’s when I shaped thousands of them for Weber and have used them ever since – s.a.
I have been switching back and forth between Clark to Walker for sometime now, and in my opinion the Walker blanks work fine for me. For the longest time I have been putting off picking up more blanks, and now look what happened. Oh well, the early bird gets the worm …
Walker has better plug for the longboards, both of them
are not first on my list. Australia and Europe have better foam
chinese foam no thank you
clark and walker are pretty easy to tell apart, shaped side by side, if your blind they feel different, visually walker has a bit of a twinkle to it.
