define “best”?There are just so many very talented and inspirational guys and ladies these days.I regularly see Dino,Bonga,Laird,Dave,Noah,his cousin Patrick,they are on another level altogether,and they can rip on a shortboard.So who’s to say who is BEST?But think about this,what about the first person who thought about using a piece of wood to glide on a wave,then the one who thought about standing up on it!And we have been imitating him eversince.This guy named Kena,from Nuku Hiva,in the Marquesas,spent so much time surfing that it is said seaweed grew on his back,his wife left him because of it(go figure),he had to get all tattoed to win her back,then when she wanted to,he kicked her out for another instead!He gets my vote.
