I’ll be out there to visit my daughter @ UCSD and hopefully surf a bit. Works good becasue I then have to travel to Portland OR for business on the following Monday so my firm picks up the travel expenses from Philly, round trip.
We scored a couple of tickets for both days of the BoardRoom show. Haven’t decided what specific things I’d like to see. Anyone here doing a shaping exhibition or setting up a booth or planning on streaking?
Thanks gunky for bringing this up. I was About to do it this AM if no one else did. I can’t encourage all of you who have had issues with glassing (especially Epoxy) enough to be sure and see some of the demonstrations put on by Rev-Chem. they will be doing a Carbon wrap @ 10:30 AM and another at 3:30 PM. Lots of color work in between. The only shaper not picked by Lopez is Two-time winner Roger Hinds. Look for three times a charm and then he retires. The guy can shape anything. Be there or be square hippies. Lowel
I’ll be there both days with Christian Surfers helping make sure it all runs smooth and venders are full off coffee! I’ll probably be working at the shaping bays like always.
Pre sale tickets (online) are 10 bucks - 15 at the door.
I can’t speak too much to the hotel situation but I’m sure there are many options within 15minutes of the fair grounds.
Two years ago I stayed at a friends house, came outside at 6 in the morning and saw an extra blue van in the driveway. Found out later in the day it was Gene and he just slept in his van in the drive way… Guess that’s always an option haha

I bought both days online for my daughter and I @ $17 each. Not bad. If you buy both days at the door it’s $30; it’s almost a 2-for-1. We’ll surf in the AM and be at the show in the PM. Definitely want to check out the epoxy lam and color work. Hope to see you guys there.
I’m gonna see if I can get in as Lopez’s man. Hand him paper towels when he finishes washing his hands in the men’s room. Like I saw Wingnut doing for Dale Velzy at an event a few years back. Lowel
