Hey S'Ray, You might want to try Spencer's Market on the other side of the highway and just north of Albertson's. Better meat counter and local produce. If you want good grass fed beef, try Soto's in Cambria. They started selling Hearst beef, no hormones grass fed right on the ranch. This is not Hearst Corp. beef, it is raised by Steve Hearst and his ranchhands. He's a good guy that helped save the point next to the pier at the castle.
ps. Spencer's sells Harris beef from up the road. Grass fed too.

Sorry S'Ray, just got home from two weeks in San Simeon at my folks' place helping out. It ain't easy getting elderly and my folks are having a rough time doing it. Won't be able to free up and get to Plaskett. Will have to settle for the waves out front. Although it has become a full on surf spot with people coming over from the valley ( Paso/Templeton) and even San Luis kids. It's not even that good of a wave! With the south swell lately, there are at least ten or more cars with two to four surfers per car! Never thought I'd live to see the water crowded around there. My brother and I had it to ourselves for an awful long time. I guess it is time to share (even though it is forced). Hope you all have a great time! And at least for Ben's sake, I hope there are photos Get it wet and have a blast! TBlank.
ps. If you are looking for seafood, try Tognazinni's place on the Emabarcadero in Morro Bay. They have a sit down place and a seafood counter next to each other all the way at the end as you head toward the rock. Mark is a commercial fisherman and has fresh fish. He's a good guy too.
NICE Sdrepairman!
Swied, I’ve been doing the Paleo diet for a while now. It’s changed my life!
Not trying to lose weight, just be healthier and I can feel it.
TBlank...crash at your family's pad in San Simmion and day trip to Plassket....duh... no camp site needed...we want to see your work....
Swied......I need some IT work on my computer......lets make a deal.....Pm or text me if you still have my number........
ChrisP......what do you "up north" guys need?....I'm getting ready to order Resin Research soon.....
It's time to get out of town Charlie Brown....get down and relax on the beach!!!!!! Late night wheel'n and deal'n comming soon...who needs extra wide 6 oz before I run out?
Ray................aka...Stingray...aka other stuff....
whos gonna have a bit of extra camp space I can bum off of?. I have some work related stuff that wont free me up until Friday afternoon. But I plan on making it. I'll bring some tape and what not.
Freeloading Resinhead
Thanks for the offer Ray, I could not get the ends together for that… Maybe next time… I don’t know if any of my up north brethren needs any, I’ll PM a couple guys…
And, like Resinhead, I will also need a place to park. I come with food and enought $ for my portion of the campsite =)…
Got some stuff to trade too, this is gonna be fun! =D
i have a friend that may or may not come so i might have and extra spot
ill let you know as soon as i can
It looks like I'll have an extra spot. Send me a PM and let me know. I have reserved site #42 - the first site on the left as you exit the group camp area. There is plenty of room in that site for an extra tent. I have it down for 9/27-9/29.
I won't know until I know...which sucks. keep the spots and I pay whatever. pretty much just need a parking spot, probably sleep in the car like always. Racoons gang up on me last year. I think they slipped me a roofie? Woke up with a roll of quarters in my pocket..and my butt hurt? Strange.
Resin,
I have room in my spot, too. Just come up.
Anyone willing to stop by Surf Dings shop and pick up two billets of xps? I’ll pay for the trouble or you can have one of the billets. Let me know. Mike
I’m working hard to finish a board for my soon to be 6 year old son before we leave for the SA2012 trip. Below are some pictures of my progress so far. I used the rocker curve from the Hotgrom design template that Surfding generously posted a while back. This was my first crack at hotwiring and it was an interesting experience. I used 24 gauge stainless steel wire at first. After breaking the wire for the 10th time in row I decided to use something more durable. The only other wire that I had on hand was 16 gauge stainless steel wire. I had to crank up the variac much higher in order to get it hot enough to cut the foam. This worked better and I was able to slice out the top and bottom in one session. It was super stinky, though, and I had to stop to put on a resperator. Then, when I went to turn it off I felt that my extension cord was super hot. It was the cord between the variac and the hotwire. The cord between the wall and variac was not hot. I am assuming that if I am going to run the hotwire again with 16 gauge wire, then I will need a beefier extension cord to replace the one that overheated. I wonder if it would be less stinky if I used 24 gauge Nichrome wire instead – like everyone suggests.

I’m starting to get psyched up for the trip. I hope there’s some size because I’m soooo tired of the knee to waist high slop the South Bay has been serving up for the last three months. Of course, if it’s got size I may get my ass handed to me…
I’m starting to dream about Plaskett =)
anyone have room for me?
Skip,
just show up. It always works out.
