like an idiot I left a shaped gun blank (Clark, to boot) on the outdoor shaping racks during our windstorm yesterday (winds were 35 m.p.h. or so, gusts maybe higher. This is what I found (pics only of the worst ones, ugh):

I had an eps blank and some foam blow off. Got a couple of crunches on the deck, but I think I can shape around it. It really blew up here, too. A storm from a week ago blew an eps fish onto the asphalt with some significant damage. Its been too cold to fix with epoxy. Mike
Ouch Keith!
by the looks of it, that probably won’t steam out, but maybe? If you have scrap Clark, a wedge cut, then airbrush or
opaque cutlap?
That darn wind was blowing pretty hard yesterday! Gusts were over 40mph at Turmo…
nope, no way these will sand out. Luckily I had shaped it fairly wide, let’s just say the board is narrower now. I reshaped the board and now it’s very gunny - but it should still work. 8’4" x 19ish" wide and pintail.
Hiya Keith!
perhaps its just one of those things that happened for a reason and the narrow board might be an epic stick.
When MR ordered his guns of Reno he asked for them 21" wide. Reno refused and only made it 19". MR ended up riding that board all season.
Cheers!
yup Josh - maybe it was just destined to go to Hawaii, rather than being a Caiifornia gun…
aloha,
Keith
I guess I’m too late but I’ve got scrap foam from old boards…
Ouch… its bad but at least the dog didn’t ravage it.
